Affiliate interview of the month - Autotrasporti Bertoni

This month, we interviewed Emanuela Bertoni, Owner of Autotrasporti Bertoni.

Tell us about your company. What is its history, and what is your role within the business?

Autotrasporti Bertoni is a family-run company that has been operating in the transport and logistics sector since 1928, throughout Italy and across Europe. Over almost a century of business, we have continued to grow while remaining true to the values that have always set us apart: reliability, professionalism and close attention to our customers’ needs.

Today, we provide integrated transport and logistics services, offering tailored solutions ranging from full-load and groupage transport to warehousing and logistics management.

As the company owner, my role is to coordinate the business together with our team, overseeing both strategic matters and relationships with customers and partners. I strongly believe in the value of relationships and in maintaining an open, daily dialogue with the people who work with us. This is what enables us to continue improving, day after day.

When did you join Gruppo CDS, and what encouraged you to become part of the network?

We joined Gruppo CDS in 2025 with the aim of further expanding our distribution network and offering our customers an even more extensive and efficient service.

Our decision was based on shared values: service quality, reliability, cooperation between companies and a willingness to invest in an increasingly structured transport model.

For us, joining CDS meant contributing our experience and knowledge of the local area while, at the same time, being able to rely on a strong national network capable of creating new opportunities for all its affiliates.

What makes your service unique in the areas and provinces you cover for the Group? Which customers or sectors are your main strengths?

We mainly operate for the Group in the province of Varese and across North-Western Italy, an area characterised by a strong presence of manufacturing and commercial companies.

Our strength lies in our in-depth knowledge of the local area and our ability to provide a flexible and punctual service tailored to the actual needs of each customer.

Our main customers include wholesale businesses and companies handling raw materials and semi-finished products, particularly in the plastics sector. We also work with businesses transporting large non-perishable materials and goods belonging to similar product categories.

Thanks to an efficient organisation and extensive experience in managing complex shipments, we are able to guarantee reliability, dependable delivery times and a consistently high level of service.

What does being part of CDS mean to you? How has the affiliation influenced your daily work and your opportunities for growth?

Being part of Gruppo CDS means joining a network of companies that share common goals and a shared vision of service.

In addition to providing broader geographical coverage, the network encourages continuous dialogue between partners, making it possible to share experiences, best practices and new development opportunities.

From an operational perspective, we can rely on even more effective cooperation in shipment management and a greater ability to respond to customers’ requirements, including the most complex requests.
